A Little Bit of Bennett

Here are a couple of clips of the boy. The first is really quick, something he likes to do when his shirt is off. Next, he wanted to show his singing skills; when the camera turned on, he became a little bit shy.

First Week

Here are some photos of our first week at home. She is 3 weeks today, and already it feels that time is flying by. I'm too tired to write more, but here is a little insight:

More Hospital Pics.

Hi everyone,
It has been awhile; we have more recent pictures, but I can't help but post a few more from the time we were in the hospital-it was so special. Hopefully I will come back and do a true update post soon, but I am not making any promises. I am guessing that the blogging is going to continue being a little sparse for a while! Monday was Elodie's 2 week birthday, so I wanted to honor the occasion. I thought that by this time I would have written out her (amazing) birth story, and put up a bazillion photos...Ha! Not quite.

Probably her first picture taken. I know she has goopey stuff all over her eyes, but I think she looks beautiful. Don't you want to kiss that little mouth? I can, because I'm her Mom :)!

Proud Grandpa/Gramps

with all of his grandparents.

Sharing the Love

This pic. is a bit scary, but I had to put it up. I will never forget how happy I felt. It was amazing to go from the intensley difficult experience of labor to inexplicable joy- in an instant (literally). The moment she came out, I just couldn't believe she was here. I kept saying, "We did it! We did it! She's here, we did it!" Rob was like, "No babe, you did it." I honestly feel like I could not have made it through without Rob there helping me, though, and that little girl fought her way into the world. I think she is ambitious like her Dad.

Side note: I wasn't allowed to sit up for awhile because of my stinky blood pressure.
That is why I lounging.

Daddy couldn't be more proud!

First picture of the three of us (and the only one we
took of Rob and I together). The dude who
wheeled me out of the hospital took this.

This is what we found when we came home from the hospital. Grandpa,
Noni, and Bennett happily hanging out (oh, and a clean house-thank you!).
Rob's parents were up the week before Elodie came, and that was
so great not just for the time together, but it really prepared Bennett
to be cared for by them while we were away at the hopital for a couple
of days. That was one of my biggest concerns before going into labor, simply
because we had never left him. It went GREAT!
We were (and are) so thankful for the time they took from work to care for our little guy.
It helped that they like him a lot, I am sure!

I hope to be back soon...we need to share more "since we have come home" photos. It has been a rough week and a half for me physically, I have had every boob-affliction under the sun. Between sweats and chills, I couldn't bring myself to the computer. But I am on the mend, and our little angel baby deserves to be shown off!
