Don't get me wrong, Bennett loves to play in the sand and he goes "vroom" if you put a toy car in his hand-even though no one taught him to-but nothing seems to keep him entertained like chatting on Daddy's cell or carrying around Mommy's make-up bag.

And the hats...don't get him started. Put a hat on the boy, and he immediately grins ear to ear and then searches for the nearest mirror. He then proceeds to crack himself up endlessly. One of these days we will catch it with the video camera, but for now the pictures will have to do!

Who knew that these four things could bring such joy into our lives. Hats glasses, phones, and bags.

Behold: the Scooter

I am about to begin the slow processes of grieving for my soon-to-be sold scooter. I will truly miss the feeling of the open road; the brisk, cool snap of the mind in your face. Can you imagine anything more exhilarating than throwing open the throttle and rocketing of at an insane 35 mph? Or how about the feeling you get deep in your gut as you begin the 30-second acceleration to reach these break-neck speeds?

Nothing is better for a man's ego than to pull up on this beauty next to a 300-pound, tattoo covered biker. Sure his Harley may be tough, or macho, but my ride is cute. And not cute like a meadow full of puppies, but cute like a meadow full of babies (maybe even babies and puppies, if you can handle it)!

Or how about the often-asked question: is that thing fast? Without fail, this inquiry is posed nearly daily. My answer is always the same. I rev the engine, just a little, and look the questioner square in the eyes. Mustering up my strongest, yet most humble voice, I utter that one word that they are waiting for: NO! Then I tear off (at about 10 mph), throwing my head back and laughing.

But alas, these days are quickly drawing to a close. If you recall, I will be starting work in Anaheim. Now, at 35 mph on surface streets (this hog isn't exactly freeway-legal), I figure it would take me about an hour and a half to make the commute. What's more, the open road would wreak havoc on my suits. Did I forget to mention that, I will be wearing a suit to work everyday. Babies all growns up!

Well, it's time to pour one out for the scooter and thank her for all the sweet rides. If you would like to send flower or a casserole, we'll gladly accept them on her behalf.

Great Achievements

Bennett earned his first certificate today by successfully completing Baby Dance II. In the dance class he practiced dancing (looks like a wiggly squat), twirling (often resulting in a fall), and making friends with everyone in sight.

James Rey?

I submit to the court, People's evidence piece 12b: the poison video. For those of you blessed to know James Rey and further blessed to see his killer moves, the resemblance to this video is uncanny. In fact, if you squint your eyes, turn the lights off, and lean to the left (or to the right if you are south of the equator), I defy you to tell me that James isn't moonlighting on the set of Scrubs.

Also, there's just not enough Bel Biv Devoe in the world these days.

Bigger and Better!

Well, I'm officially two weeks away from starting my new job. I'll be taking the role of Director of Operations with a company called Presentation Services, at the Anaheim Hilton. The position is quite similar to my current job. This means I'll be heading up the production crew for all of our events. I will be responsible for all aspects of audio, video, lighting, and rigging. This will be a big step forward in my career, as the Hilton is a powerhouse hotel. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Do these come in my size?

Wifey recently bought these Robeez for Bennett (and by Bennett I mean me). I really want to know if these come in men's sizes.
